El Hawy Science

حاوى العلوم

A science and biology platform for preparatory and secondary students. Beyond lessons and exams, it moves the messiest part of private tutoring — collecting and renewing monthly subscriptions — into a tracked in-app request with a visible status.

Renewals were the bottleneck, not the teaching.

A month of content is easy to publish. Getting several hundred students to renew on time — and knowing at a glance who has, who has asked, and who has lapsed — is the part that eats a teacher’s week.

So the subscription became a first-class object in the app: the student requests it, the request carries a status the student can see, and access follows the status instead of a spreadsheet.

Request, review, confirm.

The student is never left guessing whether their renewal went through.

01

Under review

The student submits a monthly subscription request from inside the app.

02

Confirmed

The teacher activates it and the month’s content unlocks.

03

Expired

The status changes on its own, prompting a renewal without a chase message.

What the subscription actually buys.

Once the renewal is an object in the system rather than a message, everything else can hang off its state.

Access follows the status

The month’s content unlocks when the teacher confirms the request and closes again when it lapses. Nobody maintains a second list of who is paid up.

The person paying can see it

A guardian signs in read-only on the same account and gets one monthly report — so the answer to “what did that money buy” is a screen, not a phone call.

Attendance counts toward it

Centre sessions are recorded by scanning the code on the student’s phone, so the sessions used and the sessions paid for are the same number.

Strengths & weaknesses

Marks tracked over time to show which part of the curriculum is slipping, before the term ends rather than after.

Lessons that report back

Explanations filed by grade and month, resuming where the student stopped and recording how much of each one was watched.

Notifications that chase

A grade released, an exam opened, a new lesson, and a subscription about to lapse — sent by the system so the teacher does not spend the week chasing.
